Consent Practices
This page is a plain-language guide to the choices KUULI asks you to make. It explains what is required to use the service, what is optional, and where you can change your mind. It does not replace the full policies linked below.
Creating and using an account
When you create an account and use KUULI, you agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. This agreement is required to use the service; it is different from an optional consent. If you no longer agree, you can stop using KUULI and delete your account from the app.
Optional selfie verification
Selfie verification is optional. Before KUULI processes a verification recording or image, we ask for separate consent to process biometric information for the verification check. You can decline and continue without completing selfie verification, although features that require verification will remain unavailable.
You can withdraw biometric consent before completing the check by leaving the verification flow. After submitting, use the account-deletion control or contact KUULI with a privacy request. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already lawfully occurred.
Camera permission is separate
Your phone or browser separately asks whether KUULI may use the camera. That device permission only allows camera access; it is not consent to biometric processing. You can deny or later change camera access in your browser or device settings. Without camera access, camera-based photo and selfie features will not work.
Strictly necessary cookies
On the web, KUULI uses only strictly necessary first-party cookies to keep you signed in and protect requests to your account. KUULI does not use optional analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, so there is no optional cookie choice to manage inside KUULI. Blocking or deleting the necessary cookies in your browser will prevent secure sign-in.
Optional communications
Email and phone notifications that are not necessary to provide or secure your account are opt-in choices. You can turn available notification categories on or off in Email preferences or Notifications. You can also change phone notification permission in your device settings. Essential service or security messages may still be sent when needed.
Privacy and deletion controls
You can review and update profile information in KUULI, manage notification choices, and use Delete my account to request account deletion. For access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or other privacy requests that are not available in the app, contact KUULI using the details in the Privacy Policy.
